The Casa Graffita is popularly known as the House of the Executioner. The exterior is thought by some to have been decorated by Virgilio Romano. Others think it is the work of the Raphael School. It was first painted in 1520 and later underwent restoration in 1980. What can be seen are the fake ashlars on the ground floor and the depictions of prisoners on the first floor. On the second and third floor are female figures, while lions’ heads adorn the top floor.
