Work began on Caesar Forum in 54BC because Caesar desired it, but it was Augustus who completed it. Very little can be seen of the monuments inside, which were found in 1930 and a part of it remained covered by the new Via dei Fori Imperiali. It can be accessed from the Agentaria and part of the square with some columns, part of a porch and some tabernae (the stores overlooking the forum, above all banks and jewelleries) can be seen.
