The Biblioteca degli Intronati in Siena is a library that was founded in 1759. Here there is a collection of more than 4000 manuscripts, incunabula, and illuminated books. Also among the collections are treatises on music, by Jean de Muris, Marchettus of Padua, Philippe de Vitri and others, as well as the letters of St. Catherine, and the sketchbooks of Francesco di Giorgio Martini (1439-1502), Giuliano da Sangallo (1445 c.-1516), Baldassarre Peruzzi (1481-1536), and Domenico Beccafumi (1486-1551).
