Basilica Mauriziana
Via Milano, 20 Turin 10122 - Italy

Map
The church of the Basilica Mauriziana was built for the fraternity of the Holy Cross in the late 17th Century. Since 1788 the remains of St. Maurice has been kept in a silver-plated case within the church. With a neoclassical façade and statues of the saints, it was also the first church to have a lighting rod fitted to the outside dome. The interior of the church is richly decorated thanks to Victor Emmanuel II. Worth seeing is the papier-mâché processional platform of the Resurrection which was used in the Easter processions.
