It’s thought that the Temple of Jupiter was probably the most prominent site of worship in Pompei. Also worshipped at this temple were the goddesses Juno and Minerva. On the left side of the Temple of Jupiter is a triumphal arch dedicated to the Roman Emperor Tiberius, who ruled from AD 14 to AD 37 A.D. The arch on the right hand side was for Emperor Nero, who ruled from AD 54 to AD 68. Originally these arches would have been covered in marble.
