The Temple of Apollo in Pompei was built in a typical Roman style with space for worshipers outside in a courtyard. At the rear end was a room exclusively for the priests. There is a bronze statue of the god Apollo, which is a reproduction of the original one which is now kept in the National Archaeological Museum in Naples. On one side there is what remains of a bronze statue of Apollo’s sister, Diana, and it is said by some that Mercury was also worshipped here.
