The 14th Century former church of San Francesco is now the museum. Here you can see some stunning paintings from between the 13th and the 17th Century. Of note are the frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli in the central apse from 1450-52. These show scenes from the life of Saint Francis. Also held here are works by Nicolò Alunno, Mezzastris, Melanzio, Tiberio d’Assisi, and Perugino. The displays also include works and various items salvaged from local churches.
