Close to the village of Milo are two of the most interesting grottoes in the territory. Grotto of Serracozzo I is located in a mount crack caused by a volcanic eruption. It comprises a steep slope and is some 350 metres long and 2-3 metres wide with the ground of lavic scoriae. The cavity of the Grotto of Serracozzo II represents the lower and the main mouth of the 1971 eruption. This crack continues for about 15 metres and the walls are covered by a thin lavic plaster, polished and glassy.
