The Sant’Angelo Gate Tower is the largest of Perugia’s medieval city gates. The impressive structure was built in the 13th Century and had its fortifications added in the following centuries. There is a museum housed here which has many documents relating to the history of the town’s three circuits of defense walls. There are wonderful views of the city of Perugia from the roof of the tower. This is a popular place for visitors but it is not accessible to wheelchair users.
