The hamlet of Visciano, 5 miles south of Narni, is where you’ll discover the lovely church of Santa Pudenziana. It was built in the 11th to 12th Century and is a typical example of Umbrian Romanesque, having made use of Roman materials. The church, in a beautiful setting amongst trees has a very tall stone campanile and a portico with two Roman columns. Inside is a floor of marble and fragments of Roman mosaic. There are some beautiful early frescoes depicting Christ, San Medico and San Vittore among others.
