Bramante is believed to have designed the present church in the mid 15th Century. Several Oriental monuments adorn the temple and there are some very fine arches and ceiling work. Agostino de Fondulis was responsible for the terracotta decorations of the dome and sacristy. The sacristy itself is an octagonal building which can be reached from the nave and has a wonderful floor by Bramante. Amadeo renovated the façade during the 19th Century in the Renaissance style.
