The 12th Century church of Santa Croce is of ancient Romanesque origin and can be found on the ancient road of Via Francigena. In the 15th Century it underwent modification and again in the 17th Century. It has a notable Chapel of San Giuseppe which was given an elevated section, then covered by a dome. Traces of its origins can be seen in the pillars of the three naves that have medieval designs and a central nave was frescoed by Giovanni Maria Conti della Camera around the 17th Century.
