The church of San Domenico was constructed in the 13th Century. The design, with its striped basalt and travertine stone, was the first of its kind in the town, though later copied for Orvieto’s Duomo as well as other buildings. The façade is quite plain and in Romanesque-Gothic style. The attractive arched doorway is topped by a tall mullioned window above which is a rose window. The interior houses the tomb of Cardinal Guglielmo de Braye, the work of Arnolfo di Cambio (1282). Also here are frescos and sculptures.
