Close to the left bank of the canal you will find the church of Saint Cristoforo, it is a building formed from two adjoining buildings. The left hand construction dates to around the end of the 7th Century with a ducal chapel being added in 1398, commissioned by the duke during the time of the long famine. The interior is magnificent with a wooden ceiling supported by beams and adorned with frescoes by the schools of Bergognone and Luini.
