The S. Michele oratory once belonged to the church of S. Michele o dei Santi Archangeli. First written evidence is from 907 and dates the Oratory back to the 6th or 7th Century. The interior has a fresco cycle with stories of the Virgin, the Evangelists and Doctors of the church created by Jacopo da Verona in 1397. The Oratory was destroyed during Battles between the Carrara and the Visconti armies. Some of the frescoes that survived from the walls are kept at the Eremitani Civic Museum.
