The church of Saint Maria della Passione is one of the most interesting Lombard buildings with the Bramante mark from the Renaissance era. Giovannin Battagio, the architect, produced the original 1486 plan that was set out in a central design with a Greek cross in the central nucleus that was commissioned by Daniele Birago. The three naves and lateral chapels were designed by Martino Bassi around 1573. It is still possible to see the original design. It was Cristoforo Lombardo who placed the monumental lantern on the choir stall in the 16th Century.
