Rocca Di Soragna, on the outskirts of Parma, was built in the 14th Century as a fortress. Later, it was altered into a private residence and today is still owned, and lived in, by the Meli Lupi family. The interior has halls and galleries richly frescoed as well as paintings and tapestries and other artwork. There is a beautiful park here which surrounds the palace with a lake and two isles which are dedicated to Eros and Jupiter.
