The Marine Reserve is now part of the Regional Park of Monte di Portofinio. This is an important stage in the protection of the marine environment in this particular area with the underwater activity in the Marine Park now being under strict regulation and limited to diving in certain areas only. One of the most popular places to visit is Cristo Degli Abissi in the San Fruttuoso bay, which is considered to be an easy place to dive.
