A beautifully carved marble statue of Elenora stands just in front of the Neo-classical town hall. The piazza is named after this lady to commemorate the town’s finest hour; created in 1881, the statue shows the giudichessa with a scroll bearing the famous Carta de Logu with which she is associated. The base of the statue has magnificent inset panels that illustrate her various victories. Elenora of Arborea is one of Sardinia’s best known and best loved rulers.
