Take a cable car from Via Cimarosa to the district of Vomero to enjoy the stunning park that surrounds Villa Floridiana. It was built in the 19th Century by Ferdinand of Bourbon for his beloved duchess of Floridia, Lucia Migliaccio. The park is lush with trees, and slopes down to the sea through shady wooded walks to a lookout tower. There is a glorious view which takes in the whole Bay of Naples, including Capri. Visitors to the area can spot small temples, follies and imitations of classical ruins along the way.
