The parish church of Manerba del Garda is set in a secluded area near the Garda Lake. It was built between the 7th and 8th Century over an ancient pagan temple and other structure of the 5th - 6th Century. It was reconstructed in the 9th Century and has 3 aisles divided by arches supported by pillars. The frescoes date back to the 12th Century and includes The Martyrdom of S. Ursula and Companions, which is considered a very rare example of Romanesque art. Beside the church there are ancient remains, thought to be from a Roman villa.
