Close to Piazza Duomo, but in pretty countryside, you will find the Parco delle Grotte. This area, situated amid tall pine trees, is a popular picnicking spot complete with tables and seats on terraces looking out over the valley below. The terraces run down to the edge of the cliff. This park has its own cave which, at certain times, is the venue for meetings and ceremonies, and a variety of concerts and performances. Food is available by ordering ahead.
