Pallavicino Castle, near Parma, was built in the 15th Century to protect the valley. In 1805, the Levacher family took over ownership from the Pallavicino family and maintained it until 1965. The present structure has a rectangular layout with angular towers and protruding corbels. The interior has undergone much restructuring including work carried out at the beginning of the 18th Century; a stairway by Alessandro Pallavicino was incorporated in 1715. In the 20th Century, after the war, more restoration was done by the Levacher family. Today, the castle belongs to the council.
