The Palazzo Soliano was commissioned by Pope Boniface VIII in 1297 and wasn’t finished until 1359. The palace was at one time used as a store by the Fabbrica del Duomo, and later – during the 16th Century on – by the town’s stonemasons. On the ground floor there are arches and pilasters and a fine, monumental stairway. The palace is now home to the Emilio Greco Museum. This is a collection of works, including sculptures, drawings and lithographs, given to the town by the Sicilian artist.
