The Palazzo Rocca Saporiti is a fine example of Neo-classical architecture of the Napoleonic period with Ionic columns and a cornice surmounted by statues of gods. The façade has a theatrical feel with a huge loggia on the first floor which was used by its residents for observing street life. There is a frieze around the façade which depicts scenes from the history of Milan. The palace was built in 1812 to a design by stage designer Giovanni Perego.
