Naples’ Palazzo Pignatelli di Toritto was constructed in about 1499 for Cesare Pignatelli di Toritto. This very elegant palace has Renaissance features into which the scrolls and Baroque style decorations have been added. There are coats of arms formed out of marble which act as corbels and stand out in the palace’s façade. On the ground floor there are still some traces of arches and columns, which are thought to be the remains of the ancient Nile seat.
