The Palazzo delle Congregazioni building dates from the late 16th Century. It replaced part of the 15th Century Jesuit complex, providing space for the lay associations under the guidance of the Jesuits. Though the palace has gone through major modifications it still remains a brilliant example Renaissance style especially as regards the Oratorio degli Artigiani, later given the soubriquet delle dame (of the ladies), and the Oratorio dei Cavalieri (Knights’ Oratory). Inside you can still see the frescoes created by Battistello Caracciolo which have been well preserved.
