Look up on the wall of the Palazzo dei Priori and you’ll see a Guelph lion and Perugia’s totem. The famous brass griffin is the emblem that’s seen just about everywhere around Perugia. This is a Gothic asymmetrical complex, crowned with crenellations and dotted with beautiful narrow windows. The magnificent doorway is framed by rounded arches of 1346 and decorated with Perugia and reliefs. While Perugia’s finest art is housed in the Collegio del Cambio and the Collegio della Mercanzia.
