The Palazzo Castiglioni in Milan is a very fine example of early 20th Century architecture. It was built in 1903 by architect Giuseppe Sommaruga and has some inventive bronze and wrought-iron decoration work in the art nouveau style. At one time the façade of this palace had sculptured decoration which consisted of statues of female nudes; these nude figures earned the Palazzo Castiglioni the unfortunate nickname of Ca’ di Ciapp, or Bun House.
