Palazzina Cinese
Viale Duca degli Abruzzi, Palermo 90146 - Italy

Map

The Palazzina Cinese is an original Oriental-style building housed inside the Parco della Favorita which was the hunting preserve of Ferdinand IV. The King of the Two Sicilies, exiled from Naples, in 1799, purchased the wooden building and converted it into a royal residence and had the gardens created. Inside the decorations range from Chinese to Turkish, neo-Pompeian and neo-classical which result in an exciting mixture. The King’s room is well worth a visit to see the magnificent four-poster bed with eight white marbles and also the Queen’s room on the second floor which is done in Turkish style.
