Ostuni in Brindisi is often called the ‘white city’ and is situated just a few miles from the Adriatic coast. There are an abundance of lovely buildings here that bear witness to the town’s varied history. Among the churches to visit are Saint Francis, Saint Spirit, Saint Peter, Saint Vitus, Martyr, the Cathedral, the Bishop’s Palace, and the Church of the Star. Worthy of note is the old town hall and the municipal villa, Umberto I, built in 1917 with its garden of exotic plants.
