The former Convent of the Capuchins now houses the Opera del Duomo Museum. On display is the treasure of the Duomo which includes precious illustrated works, holy furniture, illuminated anthem books and archaeological remains. There is a collection of fine art which has come from the cathedral and baptistery and sculptures made by Giovanni Pisano. Here also is the well-known Croce dei Pisani, a cross carried by Pisan soldiers during the first Crusade.
