The National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan is housed in a former Olivetam monastery. It was founded in 1953 and incorporates 28 individual galleries devoted to all types of science and technology including the amazing Leonardo da Vinci collection. Many and varied areas of physics are exhibited, with apparatus used by Galileo, Newton and Volta among others. There’s everything here from transport and shipping to astronomy, optics, acoustics, telegraphy and modern high technology.
