Leaving from the centre along Corso Cavour you reach the former church of San Domenico and the attached monastery. This is now the home of the National Archaeological Museum. It has been built two main collections; these are the old Museo Preistorico, and an antiques collection from Filippo Frigeri. There are many finds from the Etruscan and Roman era. The most prized possessions are many embossed bronze plates and in particular Cippus Perusinus, an Etruscan boundary stone, bearing the longest inscription ever found.
