Museum of the Soldier
Viale Muratori, 201 Modena 41100 - Italy

Map

The Museum of the Soldier, dedicated to those that fell in WWI and WWII, holds more than 850 objects from that era. These include uniforms, mess tins, ID tags, helmets, gas masks, historical coins, and a list of those from the Province of Modena who fell. Here too are many newspapers, prison badges, wooden boxes (the old soldiers’ suitcases), objects made in prison, shrapnel, maps, fliers, bullet shells, parachutes and other items. With a photographic archive holding 6000 photographs of all the corps taken at the front, and in prison, this makes fascinating viewing.
