The Museum of Paleobotany and Ethnobotany in Naples can be located in the Botanical Gardens. The museum is divided into two parts. Visitors here can find the palaeobotanic section, which displays fossil remains that bear evidences on the terrestrial plant evolution in the Siluriano – some 400 million years ago. There is also the ethnobotanical section which has displays of objects in vegetable material from Mexico, Sumatra and the Philippines. There are guided tours, a library and admission is free for students.
