The Museum of Human Anatomy in Naples is home to a collection of organs made from wax, perfected by Francesco Citarelli. These were created in the early part of the 19th Century. There is a collection of internal organs as well as a section dedicated to malformations which include ill-formed foetuses, single-eyed Cyclopean heads, and double-fronted heads, preserved in formalin or alcohol. Admission to the museum is free and is open on request with guided tours for group bookings. Educational activities are also available.
