The Museum of Gargano Popular Traditions and Arts in Monte Sant’Angelo houses many folkloric objects that date from the early 1600s up to the 1900s. There are items relating to the worship of Saint Michael, domestic items such as work and household tools and many items from handicraft workshops. An exhibition entitled ‘The Ancient Gargano Populations’ shows many archaeological finds from pre-Roman age and funerary accessories. Also an olive milling basin and characteristic dry-stone buildings like barns and ‘Calichira’.
