The Museo Civico can be found on the banks of the lagoon close to the southwest entrance to the city. With the exhibits being displayed on the ground floor in a modern purpose built building, it is well worth a slow stroll around these beautiful objects. Here you can find shelves full of finds from Tharros, including a Roman milestone, stelae, needles, amphoras and vases. A large part of the museum is given over to temporary exhibitions that relate to the local area, such local archives, etchings and the lagoon culture.
