The Museo Archeologico Nazionale is housed in the Palazzi Papali, next to the Duomo. This building was erected in the 14th Century and was commissioned by Pope Urban IV, Martin IV, and Gregory X. The displays in the museum include Etruscan mirrors and bronzes, as well as tomb and funerary objects from the 7th to the 4th centuries BC. There are also 2nd Century tomb frescoes and painted 4th Century tombs from the burial site at Settecamini.
