Among the things to visit in Montevago is the Santuario della Madonna delle Grazie. Also of interest is the Mother Church, the Chiesa Santi Pietro e Paolo and the Villa Romana. Close to the town’s main centre are remnants of the ancient city founded by aristocratic Rutilio Xirotta in 1636. This city is formed on an orthogonal grid around a main square and was destroyed by an earthquake back in 1693 then, in 1968, another earthquake in Valle del Belice completely damaged Montevago too.
