Milan’s Aquarium is dedicated to enthusiasts and students of the subject. The 38 tanks in the Municipal Aquarium are richly populated by fresh and salt-water species. It is an Art Nouveau style building with a large collection of treasures of marine biology. This place is excellent for the researcher, with the possibility of have access to the laboratories. There is also a large library, newspaper and periodical library specialising in aquiculture, ichthyopathology, hydro-biology and aquariology.
