Lake Toblino has an interesting array of vegetation and wildlife. Occupying the terminal section of the Valle dei Laghi, the sub-Mediterranean type landscape is ideal for holm oak as well as plants like rosemary, cane apple, lemon and olive. The lake is home to a large range of fish species and is an important breeding ground for waterfowl such as Cetti´s warbler, the mallard, the water hen, the coot, the rare great crested grebe and the great blue heron.
