The Idroscalo is an artificial basin and is considered to be the lake of Milan. This area, known as ‘Milan’s seaside’, was built in 1930 as a seaplane base. At the heart of the Parco Azzurro, it is used for motorboat, canoe, and rowing competitions and championships. There are many sports centres around the shore here which offer water sports including windsurfing, canoeing, rowing and waterskiing. It is also possible to get a fishing permit here.
