The Gargano National Park covers more than 120,000 hectares. It is home to countless habitats that include a cross section of the Mediterranean basin’s diverse natural scenery. The park has several protected areas like the Marine Reserve of the Tremiti Islands, which is one of a kind thanks to the extraordinary beauty of its sea beds and natural caves. The park contains many tourist attractions like the religious sites of San Giovanni Rotondo and San Marco in Lamis, the Swabian Castle of Monte Sant’Angelo, the Castle of Manfredonia and the coastal towns of Peschici and Vieste.
