Gardens of the Royal Palace
Giardini Molosiglio, Naples 80133 - Italy

Map
The Royal Palace gardens is a large green area stretching from the Royal Palace towards the Bay of Naples. A 17th Century bridge joins them to the Castel Nuovo across the only remaining part of the moat. Some visitors might recognise the area, as the gardens were used as a backdrop for the 5th Star Wars movie. This stunning location covers more than a kilometre square and consists of many smaller, private spaces named after statues and fountains; Alous, Cerere, Venus etc. Note the old fish pond which was used by the Bourbons to simulate naval battles and assaults.
