The Serra family’s grand villa was built in the Park di Nervi and, since 1928, has been the home of the Galleria d’arte Moderna Villa Serra Gropallo. Believed to have been built in the 17th Century, it has been expanded over the years adding galleries and side annexes. It contains more than four thousand works of art, sculptures, drawings and etchings. The original collection was from the Prince Oddone of Savoy and the legacy of the Duchess of Galliera and has grown thanks to bequests and various acquisitions.
