The Palazzo Como was built in the 15th Century for the Florentine merchant Angelo Como. It is home to the Gaetano Filangieri Municipal Museum and was opened to the puplic in 1888. It comprises a valuable art collection. The whole display is fascinating and ranges from pictures to coins, medals and books to archive documents. The collection of European and Oriental arms, the coin collection, textiles, porcelain, some sculptures like the bust of Ferdinando IV of Bourbon by Antonio Canova, and paintings by Bernardino Luini and by Il Spagnoletto are of great importance.
