The Church of San Francesco in Norcia was built in the 14th Century. It has a rose window and a fine doorway but because of earthquakes, the work on the façade was never quite completed. The lateral doorway has some rich decorative work. This church was particularly badly hit by the 1859 earthquake. Inside there are some frescoes from 1501 and 1510 and a wonderful painting by Jacopo Siculo called ‘Coronation of the Virgin’.
