While exploring the city of Modena you will no doubt come upon this Benedictine Monastery, which is just beside a church. The current monastery is the result of enlargement of a pre-existing 10th Century building and formed around the 1500s. The 17th Century façade has a portal topped by an arched tympanum and is divided by the monastery’s coat-of-arms. In the interior there is a magnificent Levante cloister surrounded by an elegant portico, which has rounded arches. The monastery is sited in the historic centre of the city. Keywords
